Congratulations to Jr On Farm Educator Nellie!

10 years ago when our Senior Program Director Deb Crockett started work at Angelic Organics Learning Center as the On Farm Program Director, her youngest daughter, Nellie, age 4 at the time, also took an active role at the farm.

Over the years, Nellie has shown numerous goats at 4-H competitions and won many blue ribbons. She has also taken the Farm Leadership Camp several years, volunteered her help at many day camps (see photo below of her handing out hand-made gold medals for the farm Olympics she created), and currently works on the livestock crew. This summer, Nellie will be starting work at the Learning Center as a Junior On Farm Educator and helping to share her immense knowledge of the livestock and her passion for farming with young kids.

Regarding Nellie's service to the farm, Executive Director Tom Spaulding said, "Nellie certainly is the go-to person for the goat family tree. She is a natural with the livestock. Every herd seems to welcome her as one of their own."

We are grateful to Nellie's service to the farm for the last ten years. She has grown from a precocious goat expert to a true leader on the farm - and simply a joy to have around.

Today, Nellie graduates from the 8th grade at Spectrum Progressive School. Congratulations, Nellie! You are going to do great things in this world!
