The Power of a Food + Farm Immersion

Weekend Wellness participants share impact of their experience

We hosted our first Weekend Wellness Retreat this past Labor Day weekend.  It was a food and farm immersion, meaning participants immersed themselves in every part of our food system, from harvesting vegetables and learning about the land, to preparing the food for optimal nourishment and taste.  We’d like to share two accounts of the experience. One is from health coach/natural foods chef Amanda Skrip who was a leader at the retreat and the other is from attendee and Local Beet (Chicago) blogger, Jessica Suss.
