The work of growing food for others offers many challenges, but rarely garnishes much in the way of recognition and acknowledgement. Hoophouse Build Roots & Wings Blackhawk Buddy House

The day encourages food consumers to buy a share of their local farm’s harvest for the 2016 season, a buying model known as Community Supported Agriculture, or CSA.

Make Moving Pictures, Pablo Korona, Yatte Moore, Tia Smith, Roots & Wings, Blackhawk Courts

Yatte Moore discovered two passions and talents in the past two years that he didn't know he possessed: farming and filmmaking. Yatte's brother Desmond Moore was working with Angelic Organics Learning Center at Blackhawk Courts Farm & Gardens and got his older brother involved. Farming wasn't easy work, but Yatte found that he was good at it. "It made me a man," Yatte explains of working on the farm.
