How is Angelic Organics different from other kids’ camps?

What will my child do during Angelic Organics Learning Center day camp?
Milking goats, feeding the horse, holding chickens, harvesting tomatoes, hiking to the creek, playing pig trivia, creating a veggie sculpture, making pizza in our cob oven: these are some of the things you might find your child doing at day camp. Activities vary according to the week, but each day has a similar schedule, which includes opening and closing circles and animal chores. The following is an example of a typical day camp schedule:

When are camps available?
- Kids with Kids, our spring break camp, is typically offered during local school spring breaks.
- Summer day camps are offered from about the second week of June until the about second week of August each year.
How long are summer day camps?
Extended care may be offered during day camp weeks so camper can be dropped off as early as 7:45am, and picked up as late as 5:30pm. See each camp's registration page to find out if extended care is offered. During the summer, we invite family members to join us for the last ½ hour of camp. This gives the kids a chance to share what they have learned during the week. |
If I sign my child up for more than one week, will they learn different things?
Yes! While our basic schedule (including animal chores, breaks for snack and lunch, and opening and closing circle) stays the same each week, the core activities of camp vary depending on the weekly theme. Feel free to email programs@learngrowconnect.org if you have questions about activities or themes.
Who will teach my kids?
Our fantastic team of On-Farm Educators, who work part-time for the Learning Center year-round. Our educators draw from decades of combined experience in food, farming and education, as well as a contagious passion for connecting people with the earth. Read more about our On-Farm Educators here. Our full-time program assistant also supports day camps and our program director supervises the entire camp.
